My best qualities are my compassion for the silent voices we care to ignore as a society rather than try to seek a solution. FIRST AND FOREMOST THANK YOU FOR PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE SOIDERS BECAUSE OF YOUR SERVICE WE ARE FREE...Remember violence in America is a slap in the face to our soldiers. I am an avid community person and I believe that as a group that is working towards the same goal we can make a difference. I love the ocean and I also love nature in every aspect. I do not see color rather quality. I am not perfect but than I never said I was…so I would never expect someone to be perfect…I do not care about you on the outside but the inside at my age is more important than anything. How blessed he is because of a soldier we are free Forgetting such selfishness that moment won’t last As a soldier tries to sleep as the mortars blast Lying on the ground cold tired their mind begins to roam Wishing for just a moment that they were at home But they do this job you see, to make sure we are free As I am reminded this is how much “a soldier loves me” Need I say more “thank a solider because you are free”

I read alot and never take a single day for granted. Dad is gone mom is very ill so I know we are here for what seems like eternity than we are the man at the top of the totem pole. Our youth needs to respect the elderly popuation and we also need to be the ears and the eyes for our communities and report what we see and not let the thugs and drugsmake us a prisoner in our own commmunities.

Today as I awoke warm and safe as I shed a tear And I thanked my son and all the soldiers all so dear Not for myself I said as I am free but because of you free because you defend the Red White and Blue The colors of the flag for many will lose their life As my struggles are small, next to a soldiers strife I am surrounded by the sounds of family and friends As another soldier loses their battle, their life ends Another solider dies another deafened by the sound Sitting near another solider weeping on the ground And I am but reminded one more time you see What I take for granted, Freedom is not really free And as the holidays are near and time for cheer Another soldier is still far from home no sight near But once again in the rush hour traffic to work I see another complain with a cold and dirty smirk. Thank a military personnel as we are free.
