  • About Me

    • Enjoy almost all forms of music -- from jazz, classical, pop, blues, folk and native, some forms of rap (a la protest music). It just depends on the mood and the timing. I even love the percussive of STOMP!

    • The genre isn't as important as the story line, the acting, and the credibility of the story. I loved Remains of the Day but the Scorcesi complement was awful (it tried to compensate for the lack of with tons of flowers).

    • Law & Order, CSI, Amazing Race, and others

    • I guess mysteries and adventure are my favorite genres. Joe Leaphorn is especially great because there's a great mystery being unfolded along with cultural education. But I just love to read. It doesn't matter what genre. In was inspired by Wole Soyinka and Octavio Paz in 1998 and began incorporating their styles into my own writing as much as I could. But by far, my most favorite books are The Insidious Dr. Fu Man Chu and Cyrano de Bergerac.

    • Track & field is probably my number 1 favorite. Then gymnastics. Then football and basketball, followed by tennis. Please don't ask me to attend a baseball game unless you're willing to put up with LOTS of chatter that's totally unrelated and a tremendous amount of analyzing everything that's happening on the field, the player's style, . . . My first experience with skiing was on President's Day weekend in 1990. May I do that again, please?

    • Nearly everything interests me. Politics, finance, business, Fine and Performing Arts, hiking, Nature, gardening, entertaining, cultures and customs, religions, myths and history, needle crafts. There are probably a LOT of other things that could be added to this. But this is more than sufficient for now. * * * Visit one of my blogs to learn more about how I tick: * "The Desk" or "The Pundit" * Consultant's Desk or "Leading Diversity" as well as my Profile on HR.com One of my favorite sites is an ethics think tank called "Ethics in Recruiting" which can be found on the Ning network.

    • Travel the world, several times over, starting in Spain Have several books published as best sellers: some in poetry, some short stories, some non-fiction, some journal articles Present workshops and classes on various selected topics Travel the world Earn my law degree and license; then practice law for at least 10 years Make a positive impact on most of the lives I touch

    • My smile. My eyes. My patience. My compassion. My ability to comprehend through language barriers.

    • Can you help me get off of Alice's path and back to mine?
