HELP FOR BIG CATS
So how is everyone doing today?
I thought that I would give you a website that you might enjoy. I live in Sarasota, FL and this amazing place is only a few miles from my residence. I have been there a few times already and have really enjoyed it. I also took Roy of the BTG and his family to visit and they loved it. Each time I have been there, even though it is a small place, it has been crowded. Enjoy looking at all the info and pictures.........Mike

I have provided a link to my group on their wall asking them to stop by an dmeet members who recommend this place. Aso they are asking people who have been to this place to write a review about the great care that they provide to the animals there. It appears that they are under attack from people who have never even been to this place about how the animals are caged. They could use our help!
As they have said, by law they have to keep them caged. There used to be a place in FL that had a huge fenced enclosure where all the animals roamed free. Someone tore down a part of the fence (vandals) and a lot of the animals escaped and were either killed or rescued. Some are at Big Cat Habitat.
Most of these Big Cats are from zoos or circus's around the country. They do still perform. Also, it is real nice to get as close as a few feet from them, even if they are in cages. Some you can even pet. But as they say, this is still a wild animal and you never know what their reaction will be.
The admission price has gone up from $10 a couple of years ago to $15. But it is still worth the price to see all the animals besides the Big Cats. They also take donations and sell merchandise. All the people who work there are mostly volunteers. Almost all the money raised goes to take care of the animals and to maintain the grounds.
I have taken a number of friends in the past and all have said it is one of the better places to see these animals and the care that they are given. Maybe one day you could even visit.......Mike
