My Reputation, My Personality and My Eyes

The thing I like best about myself is...I love really hard, I don't love that many, but the people I love, I love with all my heart. The thing I wish I could change about myself is...My impatience. Countin' blessings & wavin' the flag, My energy is straight-up addictive. With a bright smile and slightly nervous excitement, there's a definite buzz in the air surrounding me. This country girl is quickly hitting overdrive, and loving every minute of it. "I ain't saying I'm perfect, but I promise I'm worth it."

My mother, while being the comforter I needed, also taught me the basic values that govern my life today: forgiveness, honesty and optimism. "I think the most important thing that {my mother} has instilled in me is the power of forgiveness,." "She was just really such a forgiving person. No matter what you might have done, she was never judgemental. "And {she was} really honest," "I think that's a great quality for anyone to have, because if you're honest with yourself and other people, you can't go wrong, you know?" Pausing on that serious note, I'm always quick to smile again-a sunny attitude I continually work to maintain. Despite life's curveballs, I always fight to stay positive. "I think I've always been happy-go-lucky person, and I've had a lot of obstacles that people don't even know about, which I'm still overcoming," I confess. "But I look at my problems, and I'm like," Wow, it could be so much worse." "I {realize that} I'm healthy, I've got two arms and two legs, I can sing...I think you just have to count your blessings and be happy."

1. Love and a Life knowing it... Knowing you are loved gives you confidence; it makes you feel safe and cared for. In this world sometimes things can get crazy, but at the end of the day, I am reminded that I am valued and treasured beyond my job. 2. My mother and Family and Friends...They are responsible for me knowing love. They center me. 3. Music...I love my music I can tell stories that connect to other people's stories. It allows us to not feel isolated in our experiences, good and bad. 4. Inspiration... see it all around, in people's capacity to love, to hurt, in their strength and vulnerability, in accomplishment, in mistakes, in seeing them muddle through life with as much grace as possible. 5. Laughter...If you can find the humor in a situation, you'll get through anything. I laugh at myself, I laugh at other people, and I have been known to laugh inappropriately!

Life is short. We are reminded not to take ourselves too seriously. Some days we can just take a step to the side and let go laughing. Nothing in life can prepare a heart for the power of new love, nor can anything ever replace it. Is it the loss that breaks us or the "what if's?" Regret is a ghost that haunts. If Love is the Answer, then what is the Question? May we all heal ourselves and never leave before we're gone. When a pending pain is so big, there is an inner place that a soul will go to keep from breaking. A place where it sits and holds terribly still, an emotional coma that allows our heart a moment of Peace so that we can begin to heal. In this place we find a void, where there is no feeling, no up, no down, no sound, no taste. People stereotype country music to be about "your dog dying, your mama dying, your wife leaving, your husband cheating, losing a job, etc, etc." If life were perfect and there were no conflicts to resolve, where would any artform be?

That just because two people argue, It doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, It doesn't mean they do love each other. I Believe... That we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I Believe... That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you, every once in a while and you must forgive them for that. I Believe... That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love. I Believe... That you can do something in an instant That will give you heartache for life. I Believe... That it's taking me a long time To become the person I want to be.

I Believe... That you should always leave loved ones with Loving words. It may be the last time you see them. I Believe... That you can keep going long after you think you can't. I Belief... That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel. I Believe... That either you control your attitude or it controls you. I Believe... That hereos are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
