  • About Me

    • Industrial, dark drone-ambient, IDM, noise, sad rockabilly/folk (e.g. Chris Isaak), quirky alternative...

    • DOCTOR WHO, THE PRISONER and GOOD EATS with Alton Brown.

    • THE INVISIBLES by Grant Morrison, STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND by Robert A. Heinlein, DRAWING BLOOD by Poppy Z. Brite, THE MARBLES IN MY UNDERPANTS by Renee French, THE HERB BOOK by John Lust, THE BOOK OF TEA by Okakura...

    • For the most part, I think that organised sports are for chumps. They just create a cult of spectatorship rather than sportsmanship. (If you enjoy a sport, get off your lazy ass, get out there with your friends and do it!) I also despise how some sports are completely marginalised in favour of others. I would so much rather see or hear about jai-alai or swimming and diving. But it seems we're always stuck with team sports, rather than ones where individuals excel.

    • I'm going to see LET THE RIGHT ONE IN on Sunday. It's an artsy, Swedish vampire flick. Can't wait! It's been so long since I've seen a good movie... or even that one has come to our local theatres! (What is up with the lack of indie-flicks in a town with almost thirty screens, anyway?)

    • Swimming, gourmet food, strong black coffee, rare-rare steak (grass-fed, organic), exotic beer and cocktails (e.g. Saison DuPont, lychee sake-tinis) and guys who like to try new things. Huge turn-ons are the smells of chlorine and suntan lotion, freshly turned earth, used books, fresh concrete or blacktop, and the woods after it rains.
