Most everything from Bach to Bananarama with a bit of Bollywood in between. Firm favourites are U2, Coldplay, the criminally underrated Travis and (unashamedly because I was a huge fan when at uni 20-25 years ago) Duran Duran. I cannot live without music and think the iPod is the best invention since email and mobile phones, and invaluable for shutting out inane conversations on trains
Too many to mention but the top three have to be Star Wars, Ryan's Daughter and Moulin Rouge!
A favourite pastime, pretty much couch-potato-like, I'm sorry to confess
Another thing that I cannot live without. Oscar Wilde of course, but also Jane Austen, Yeats, Stendhal, Baudelaire, Choderlos de Laclos and (because I am a geek at heart) J. R. R. Tolkien; my favourite contemporary writer is David Mitchell (Cloud Atlas, Black Swan Green). I'm in a book club with friends in Belgium and they can vouchsafe that I'm an avid reader and as opinionated in my comments as about everything else
No, can't be bovvered. Walking about is about the best I can do
Books, movies, hillwalking, tai ji, yoga, belly dancing, comparative religion, travelling
'What is the point of worrying? If the problem has a solution, stop worrying and implement the solution; if there's no solution, worrying won't help anyway.' -- I first came across this in a book by the Dalai Lama, but other people will have other sources for the quote, equally valid, I'm sure
Hhhmm ... They require empirical investigation I'm afraid
... Don't always happen at night. Hence the sometimes blank expression on my face ....
