My Journey to GK-TaPA Volunteering is quite hard but very rewarding. I’m very happy to see how the members responded in my teaching and therefore their progress is very promising given only a short period of time. I’m quite certain with my approach which is based from my previous experiences in handling a school based chorale group also from this community. Meeting problems with the children and their families; discipline, attitude and logic in facing life’s many challenges are the common factor that needs special attention. Talent wise, most children overflows with the gift in singing, dancing and creativity only that there are no venue for them to discover more and enhance their talents and nobody to honed them and guide them. I think it’s my mission in life not only to help them discover, enhance and hone their talents but also to inspire them that there are still lot more of opportunities in life other than the usual things they see and experience in our community.

I'm with the Gawad Kalinga Tatalon Performing Arts... Here you could see the transformation and the holistic growth of its members. Most members come from the less fortunate group in our community where they are deprived from quality education, decent living and others... Hence, poverty does not hinder learning... Most of the children and youths here are overflowing with talents... Talents they themselves don’t know for there is no place for them to discover and showcase it. That's why I myself, together with a bunch of volunteers gather these talented children and youths to help them realize that with proper training, learning, experience, commitment and discipline, TOGETHER, WE CAN CHANGE FOR A BETTER FUTURE...
